The feddan and other units
The Egyptian feddan equals about 4200.83 square metres, and it is included so land areas can be converted to square metres or hectares. The tool also includes common imperial units such as inch, foot, mile, pound, ounce and gallon.
A note on data sizes
The tool calculates data size on a 1024 basis, so a kilobyte is 1024 bytes. This is what operating systems use when showing file sizes, while some disk makers use 1000, which produces a small difference in advertised capacity.
