Number to Words Converter: Write Amounts in Words

Writing an amount in words is a common requirement for cheques, contracts and invoices. Type a number and this converter turns it into words, with the currency name and its subunit, in Arabic or English.

This tool runs entirely in your browser, and what you type is never sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Type the number; it can contain decimals such as 1250.50.
  2. Choose the output language and the currency, and keep the “only” phrase if you want it.
  3. Copy the resulting text and use it in your document.

Number and noun agreement in Arabic

For Arabic output the tool follows the agreement rules: from 3 to 10 the counted noun is plural, from 11 to 99 it is singular, and for hundreds and thousands it is singular and in the genitive. Feminine counted nouns such as the halala in the Saudi riyal are handled.

Check the result before official use

Despite our care, Arabic number-writing rules have details that differ between countries and institutions. If the text will go into a cheque or an official contract, check it yourself and do not rely on the tool alone.
