How to use
- Choose one or more images.
- Pick the target format and adjust quality if you chose JPEG or WebP.
- Press “Convert”, then download the new images.
The difference between formats
PNG keeps full quality and supports transparency, which suits logos and screenshots. JPEG is smaller and suits photographs. WebP combines both: small size and transparency support, but it is less compatible with older software.
When to convert
Convert to JPEG to reduce size before sending, to PNG to edit an image without extra loss, and to WebP to speed up web pages. Remember that converting a compressed image to PNG does not bring back lost detail.
Frequently asked questions
Is transparency kept?
Yes when converting to PNG or WebP. When converting to JPEG, transparent areas turn white.
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
That depends on your browser's support for the format. If it cannot open them, a message will say so.
Do the dimensions change?
No. Dimensions stay the same and only the encoding changes.
