Examples
If a product costs 800 and has a 15% discount, use the last calculator to get the price after discount. If your salary rose from 6000 to 6600, use the change calculator to see it is a 10% rise. If you answered 42 questions correctly out of 50, use the second calculator to get your percentage.
A common mistake
A 20% discount followed by a 20% increase does not return the price to its original, because the increase is calculated on the price after the discount, not on the original. So calculate each step on its own.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use decimals?
Yes, use a decimal point such as 12.5. Arabic-Indic digits are accepted as well.
Why can't I enter zero?
In some calculators zero leads to division by zero, and a message explains this.
Are results rounded?
Up to four decimal places are shown, and add and subtract results are rounded to two.
